CAMPANA'S "WAR ON CRIME"

It seems to me Mayor Campana's new lighting program in high crime areas is a good start but will probably fail miserably. While the lights may make criminals think twice and it may make it easier to witness a crime, authorities won't get anywhere until witnesses are willing to testify. These thugs are taking over neighborhoods with intimidation through threats of violence and retaliation. "Casting the light of day" on these people is a start but the residents of these neighborhoods need to stand up, and if they do, they need our support and protection. - MY, Newberry.

WILLIAMSPORT'S MOST WANTED

The City's idea of publishing the names and photos of all the wanted street thugs from Williamsport and Philly is a great proactive concept for neighborhood protection. Have you guys ever considered such a thing? - MC, Williamsport

Williamsport.com offered to provide that very service, at no cost to the city to every administration beginning with Mayor Capelli. That also includes the "council before mayoral" careers of Rafferty, Wolfe, and Campana. The only Mayor who attempted to provide us with the information was Mike Rafferty but unfortunately his abbreviated special term was not long enough to make any real progress establishing cooperation with the Philadelphia police department. - Editor, williamsport.com

WEATHER FORECAST IS ON THE MONEY

Your weather page is on the money! I saw three different forecasts on three different TV stations. I went to Williamsport.com and the forecast blew the others away, right down to the hour!

NEW CONTESTS

Thanks for the free Pizza! I love your daily contest, it's so easy. I play everyday and now so do half the people in my office!

-KL, Newberry

CLASSIFIEDS

I've been waiting for your classified section for over a month. What's the story? - RTW, Williamsport.
To make our site even easier to use, we're programming the login system to require only one ID and password for playing contests, posting classifieds, and posting events. Changing the system to a single log on for all features takes a little more programming time but it will be available very soon. - Editor

WORTH THE WAIT

Williamsport.com teased us last year with comments like "watch for our new website coming soon." I waited and waited but the changes seemed minor. All of a sudden this morning it was like BOOM! I had to write and tell you guys I love the new look. It took a little bit to see where everything is located in the new site but then I realized that was because you're making so much more available. All I can say is great job, I love it. I give you four and three quarter stars out of five.

-CJ, Montoursville

PLANS FOR FUTURE STORIES

I hope the new Williamsport.com will publish stories of local interest such as the 3-way race for Mayor, the lack of economic development in Williamsport and the infighting in both parties in Lycoming County. I think you're the only people willing to tell it like it really is. .... I like your new site, now how about some controversy?

-Ronald, Williamsport

Editor's Note: Going forward, the nature of our editorial content will be determined by the requests from you the public. We have no pre-set agenda other than to provide information and service to the people of Williamsport and Lycoming County.

THANK YOU

We posted our Church Fair on your website and many of the new faces there this year told us they heard about it on williamsport.com. You helped us exceed our fundraising goal for this year's event by helping to increase our attendance. Best of all you didn't ask for a dime for your help in promoting the fair. Bless you.

ENTERTAINMENT CENTRAL

As young twenty-something female, I use your Live Entertainment page all the time. I Iike how you include what kind of music a band plays and since my friends and I are from Lewisburg and Danville, we really appreciate how you list what street the club is on.

-Michelle, Lewisburg
